Life Of Dreams Is No Dream - Go For It

Success Principals Collection

>Be clear about your goals and flexible to achieve them.

Think about your goals often, daily is best, and don’t be afraid to make modifications or even complete changes if your instincts guide you there.

If you cannot be precise with a goal then remember this; it is best to have a goal even if it is not perfect - as apposed to having no goal. (No Goal = No Plan. No Plan is a plan; it’s a plan to go nowhere. You must knowwhere  you want to go)

As you work on your goals they will solidify, clarify and the steps to achieve them will materialise and become clearer.

So, be as clear about your goals as you can, work on them every day and constantly seek to get more clarity and precision about your plans. Remember to stay flexible. The flexible person in negotiations wins. Stay flexible in your approach to setting and achieving your goals and you could even constantly ask yourself quality questions like: “How else could I do this? Is there an easier way to achieve this? Who has achieved this in the past and can I talk/read/watch them, learn from them?” And here is the best question of all: “What can I do today to move toward achieving this goal?”

When you think about taking steps to achieve your goals always remember the analogy of how to eat an elephant. One bite at a time. Another analogy that that shows the power of small moves is; a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.  Stop any excuses that you habitually come up with to stop yourself achieving such as “I don’t have time” after all, the fact is that anyone can easily find 15 minutes a day.

Also, when making the classic and very common excuse of, “I don’t have the time” (Heck I use it myself on occasions. Did I just admit to that?) remember that there is someone else out there who makes more progress on their goal/dream than you do and he/she has exactly the same time as you. 24 hrs per day. Time is equal for everyone, it is how you use that time which dictates your success.

Do something, anything that is a linked skill to your goal. If you need to gain knowledge on a subject, read, even if it is just a few pages a day to begin with. If it is a physical skill, practice, even if you only set aside 10 or 15 minutes a day to start, soon your practise adds up to powerful changes.

Small steps have immense power so there is no excuse for not getting started.
